كانت ريناد، ذات 11 عاما، تحب مدرستها الصغيرة في حيها وسط مدينة غزة، حيث كانت تجلس مع أصدقائها على مقاعد الدراسة القديمة وتحلم بأن تصبح طبيبة تساعد الناس كما كانت تردد لأمها دوماً. لكن في صباح السابع من أكتوبر 2023، تبدد هذا الحلم حين دُمرت مدرستها بالكامل خلال التصعيد العنيف . تشير بيانات رسمية إلى أن 94.7% من مدارس القطاع تعرّضت إلى أضرارٍ بدرجاتٍ متفاوتة، من بينها 378 مدرسة تعرّضت إلى قصفٍ إسرائيليّ مباشر.

تغيرت حياة ريناد وعائلتها جذريًا. اضطروا إلى الانتقال إلى أحد مراكز الإيواء، حيث اكتظ المكان بالأسر المشردة. شعرت ريناد بالحزن؛ لم تعد هناك كتب، ولا دفاتر، ولا ضحكات زملائها في الفصل.

وسط هذا الظلام، أعادت أجيال وبالتعاون مع الإغاثة الاسلامية حول العالم إحياء عدد من الغرف الصفية في مركز الإيواء، هذا المشروع أعاد لريناد والأطفال الآخرين شعاع الأمل.

تم تجهيز مساحة تعليمية مؤقتة داخل مركز الإيواء. وجدت ريناد مع أصدقائها مكانًا نظيفًا وآمنًا للعودة إلى الدراسة. تلقت أدوات مدرسية جديدة، ولعب تعليمية، وحتى وجبات خفيفة تغذي جسمها الصغير وتمنحها طاقة للتركيز.

بدأت ريناد تشارك في الأنشطة بفرح، وأصبحت جزءًا من برنامج الدعم النفسي الذي ساعدها على التعامل مع الصدمة التي مرت بها. كانت تقول لمدرستها الجديدة: “أنا سعيدة لأننا عدنا للدراسة. أشعر أنني سأصبح طبيبة كما حلمت دائمًا.”

Discover Rinad’s Story

Rinad, an 11-year-old girl, loved her small school in her neighborhood inIn the middle of Gaza City. She would sit with her friends on old school benches, dreaming of becoming a doctor to help people, as she always told her mother. But on the morning of October 7, 2023, that dream was shattered when her school was completely destroyed during the violent escalation. Official data indicates that 94.7% of schools in the Gaza Strip sustained varying degrees of damage, including 378 schools that were directly targeted by Israeli shelling.

Rinad’s life and that of her family changed drastically. They were forced to move to a shelter center, where the place was crowded with displaced families. Rinad felt deep sadness; there were no more books, no notebooks, and no laughter from her classmates.

Amid this darkness, Ajyal, in collaboration with Islamic Relief Worldwide, revitalized several classrooms in the shelter center. This project brought a ray of hope back to Rinad and other children.

A temporary learning space was set up inside the shelter center. Rinad and her friends found a clean and safe place to return to their studies. She received new school supplies, educational toys, and even light meals to nourish her small body and give her the energy to focus.

Rinad began participating in activities with joy and became part of a psychosocial support program that helped her cope with the trauma she had experienced. She told her new teacher, “I’m happy that we’ve returned to studying. I feel that I will become a doctor, just as I’ve always dreamed.”
