In August 2024, we had to flee once again. Tanks had drawn near to our office in East Deir al-Balah, and shells were falling with alarming regularity. But after ten months of war, we had learned to adapt quickly. We evacuated the office and reorganized our operations in a new location within just five days

In the days leading up to the war, we had been reflecting on how Ajyal had grown from a small organization into a steadily expanding institution. But the war brought with it a deep despair, and we feared everything we had built would be lost forever. Yet, through all that we endured, we came to realize that Ajyal was not just an organization—it was a lifeline, sustaining our hope, teaching us how to rebuild, and showing us how to weather every storm
